From acclaimed director Guillermo Del Toro comes an epic sci-fi adventure. When legions of giant creatures known only as Kaiju started rising from the sea, a war began — a war that would consume humanity’s resources for years on end. To combat the Kaiju, a special type of weapon was devised — the Jaegers — massive robots, piloted by the shared thoughts of two pilots, locked in a neural bridge. But with the Jaegers on the verge of defeat, the program has no choice but to turn to two unlikely heroes — a washed-up former pilot and an untested trainee — to drive a legendary Jaeger from the past. Together, they stand as mankind’s last hope against the rising monster apocalypse.
